Description:
Dr. Weil Healthy Kitchen 5-Cup Multi-Use Rice Cooker - Model 9812 by Spring Switzerland
Weil by Spring introduces a 5-Cup Multi-Use Rice Cooker that has the ability to modulate temperature during cooking, resulting in perfect rice every time. Perfect rice is not all you can do in your new appliance; it is also great for cooking dried beans and grains. Dr. Weil has included several of his favorite recipes in the owners manual. The addition of the steamer basket allows you to steam vegetables or make a full combination meal. If you want your rice or vegetable soup ready when you return home from work, the delayed timer gives you that option.
The Dr. Weil 5-Cup Multi-Use Rice Cooker has a very versatile menu pad with a digital timer and special digital settings for white rice, brown rice and "quick" rice such as Jasmine, Sushi, Basmati, Texmati and Wild Rice, as well as other rice blends. Even cook sushi rice.
Also cook beans, soups and stews in the Dr. Weil 5-Cup Multi-Use Rice Cooker. The "Soup" setting can be customized for various cooking times to create delicious stews, beans and soups perfectly every time.
Prepare different foods at the same time! Two different types of food can be cooked at the same time. For example, you can cook rice in the removable inner pot on the bottom, and fish, meat or vegetables in the steamer basket on the top.

About Anodes Aluminum
Anodized aluminum is harder, more durable, and less likely to corrode versus regular aluminum. Anodized aluminum is much less reactive than non-anodized aluminum. By anodizing aluminum, the anodizing process increases the thickness of the oxide layer (e.g.: it makes it thicker so it does not leach like non-anodized aluminum.). Anodized aluminum is used in cookware most often because it is excellent at conducting heat quickly and evenly. To remove any aluminum leaching issues manufacturers will either anodize it (i.e.: the Dr. Weil Rice Cooker), or wrap the aluminum in stainless steel or copper (i.e.: All Clad cookware). Dr. Weil's rice cooker's inner pot has been anodized.
